Fine Arts Summer Learning

Fairfax County Public Schools is offering a FREE online arts enrichment program for current K-12 students for five weeks from July 6 to August 7.  A variety of classes will be offered in art, music, theater, and dance. 

  • Elementary classes include K-6 Art, Stitchery and Weaving, Claymation and Recycled Art, K-6 Music, Drumming, Contemporary Vocals, Sixth Grade Band, Sixth Grade Strings, K-6 Theater, and K-6 Dance.

Fairfax County Public Library’s summer reading program - “Imagine Your Story”

Registration starts on June 12. Sign up and download a summer reading gameboard. As children read books (or listens to books) and complete pieces of the gameboard, they can be entered into random drawings to possibly win a prize.

  • For nonfiction lovers!  Students choose from dozens of topics in each of five categories:  Animals, ScienceSocial Studies, Biographies, and Dinosaurs. Students can read, listen to the text read aloud, watch short videos, and print activities.

Math Learning

Origo at Home 

  • Available to students and provides nine weeks of math lessons.  No login is required and the site is free.
